![]() Did you know there’s only /two/ records of anacondas attacking a person? TWO. This is not only animal abuse but it is going to make the general public /more/ afraid of snakes, and make people believe that anacondas /do/ eat people. I urge everyone to not watch this special should it air and please sign this petition to let Discovery know that we don’t want to watch animal abuse. Usually the snake will not feed again immediately after having to regurgitate.Īll in all it was very risky, very unfair to the creature and directly impacted its well-being and survival for a stupid publicity stunt. ![]() Not only that but regurgitating a meal is very stressful on a snake! I’m a herpetologal field biologist who does field surveys for clients-and one of our number one rules is neverdisturb a feeding snake because of the high levels of stress, the loss of important digestive fluids (when you’re a reptile, that’s a big deal), and the loss of all that effort it takes to actually secure a meal. The End.It already happened and he survived, as did the snake, because they pulled him out via cable attached to his suit that triggered the snake to regurgitate but let me repeat myself:Īnd someone who calls himself a “naturalist” should be ashamed of himself for endangering an animal who is NOT built to swallow something like a human. The light furry now on the ship also, looked over at the kids and their mother surrounding Toothless, and her belly growled. Astrid then let her children walk over to Toothless who was now lying on his back so they could give him some belly rubs, even as their dad moved around from the inside. Toothless happily stumbled over to the others, glee over the embellished size of his middle. “You might as well just watch, cause he’ll be in there for a good long while.” And so they watched as Toothless pulled off Hiccup’s innard-damaging prosthetic, closed his jaws the rest of the way over their father’s remaining, booted foot, swallowed one last time, and let the weighted form of Hiccup slide comfortably, all the way down Toothless’ sagging throat and into the awaiting stomach below. “But you shouldn’t worry my darlings, he’ll be all fine in there, oh, he’s gone through this whole ordeal plenty of times before.” She sat down and hugged her children, letting them know they were safe. “Ah, guess I spoke a bit too soon on that one.” Astrid said, laughing a bit to herself. ![]() Astrid then says, almost halfheartedly,” He’s not going to eat your father.” But almost an instant later, Hiccup came out with a short spurt of awkward laughter as Toothless pushed the viking’s form, headfirst through his parted jaws, part way into his throat, and began swallowing Hiccup, whole and alive. “I am glad to see you too bud!” Toothless warbles ecstatically while licking and covering Hiccup in his saliva profusely. Astrid gives a short, elated laugh, and a quick sigh of relief as Hiccup exclaims. ![]() Hiccup reaches out his hand looking away, just as he did on one of their first fateful meetings, but all it takes now is for Toothless to simply catch a short whiff of Hiccup’s surely identifiable scent, before he pounced, and embraced his long missed friend. “It’s ok.” Astrid whispers calmly, as one of their children gasps in awe, watching the big black reptile stalking closer to their father. “Remember me?” Hiccup asks unsteadily, as Toothless climbs nimbly down the bow of their ship. ![]()
